Donna Holder
MA, CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist
Donna joins JS Therapies with over 20 years of experience in a multitude of settings. Her family is originally from Trinidad & Tobago, but she was raised in South Carolina & North Carolina. She received her B.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from South Carolina State University and her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from Michigan State University. She has a passion for working with children and young adults with literacy and language-based tasks, focusing on functional communication of wants and needs in natural environments. She enjoys community outreach, providing support, and educating families to facilitate language development via carry-over between treatment sessions. Donna also has additional education and expertise in implementing effective communication strategies to enhance cultural diversity/awareness to improve the treatment process for clients and families. Outside of the therapy world, Donna is the mother of two boys and a dog (Charlie). She enjoys poetry, singing, playing instruments, and motivational speaking. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority.
