Nature-Based Pediatric Occupational Therapy

We are thrilled to be partnering with the St. George Village Botanical Garden in St. Croix to offer an innovative and enriching experience: nature-based pediatric occupational therapy!

This unique approach allows children to engage with their natural environment, to explore and have fun, all while supporting their physical, social, and cognitive development.

Benefits of Nature-Based Occupational Therapy

Nature-based therapy provides limitless opportunities for enhancing the well-being of every child. Working in an immersive environment helps target various developmental areas, including:

  • Sensory Motor Development – Engage in fun activities that promote coordination, balance, and fine motor skills.

  • Problem-Solving Skills – Encourage critical thinking and creativity through nature-based challenges and tasks.

  • Executive Functioning – Improve planning, organization, and task completion in a fun outdoor setting.

  • Mental Health & Attention – Experience the calming effects of nature, which can help reduce anxiety and improve focus.

  • Social Participation – Foster meaningful interactions with peers in a supportive and engaging environment.
